| Price Guide |
The prices shown below include the fitting price. At the moment I am not supplying parts for DIY but this will possibly change in the future. There are some things I need to sort out (???) but I will endeavour to supply parts to you DIYers.
Also these prices do not include the call out charge (if applicable) A call out charge guide will appear at the end of this price list. |

| Patio Door Wheels |
There are two basic types of Patio Roller. The single bogie roller and a twin bogie roller. They are replaced as a pair.
These cost £75.00 per pair for the single bogied type and £85.00 a pair for the twin bogied type.
Twin bogies usually fit the more heavier type of door but I won't know this until I've got the door off the track, but I carry all rollers on my van. The only catch being I may require the customer to help with the lifting off of the door because I mostly work alone. |
|
| Window Hinges (otherwise known as Friction Stays) |
These little blighters have a weak point which is made of nylon - or something - that breaks and makes the window difficult to close tightly against the frame. These are replaced in pairs
Sizes from 8 inch to 12 inch are £45.00 for the first pair then £35.00 for all following pairs.
Sizes from 16 inch to 24 inch are £57.00 for the first pair and £46.00 per pair thereafter. Again I may require assistance with large top hung sashes.
There is an additional charge of £10.00 for hinges that are rivetted to Aluminium sashes. (Old Everest, Anglian or Zenith used this method) because rivetts have to be drilled out and therefore the glass needs to be removed beforehand. |

| Sealed Units (misting between glass) |
| Phone or email with a size of the glass area that you can see. I can then phone back with a price. I need to know if the sealed unit is Clear or Patterned glass, whether it is Toughened or Float, Leadlight, Georgian Bar, or any other peculiararities. Windows and doors fitted after April 2002 require low emission E glass to be fitted. There is a minimum charge on Sealed Units of £55.00. So if you have a small fanlight unit that is misted or broken it'll be £55.00 to replace. Please be aware that I now charge a deposit on all sealed unit orders over £100 - any orders over £700 must be paid for in full before I place an order with the factory. |

| Multipoint Door Locks and Lock cylinder Barrels. |
Estimated prices here are between £160.00 to £250.00. for Multipoint locks. I'd need to take measurements for these and I basically charge £60.00 on top of the retail price for the sourcing and fitting of the lock. If I'm unable to locate the correct lock in my area I may have to order from a different source and carriage charges will apply here on top of the fitting price.
Lock cylinders are £55.00 for a straightforward replacement or £65.00 if the lock has to be picked, drilled or Nitro Glycerined. (Wonder if G.C.H.Q. will pick that up???) |

| UPVC Door adjustments |
| If your UPVC door is difficult to lock it may have dropped making the lock and the keeps out of alignment. This is easily rectified by a toe & heel adjustment and simply requires the glass or panel to be re-packed. This is a job within the capability of the DIY'er and I'll post instructions on the DIY page shortly. But for me to do this will cost £45.00 for the first door and £25.00 thereafter for any other doors. A similar problem to this occurs on Tilt & Turn windows which again is easy to rectify so keep em peeled. |

| Window Locks |
A minimum charge again here of £55.00 for any type of window lock. Two types of locks that generally give problems by breaking in the locked setting. These are the Espagnolette type which uses a sort of mushroom on a sliding bar to locate into keeps on the outer frame.
Then there's the shootbolt type. One particular brand here. SARACEN!!!! The shootbolt which is made of brass contacts a guide which is made of alloy and the two combine to make a battery. Well sort of... they corrode against one another making the lock seem stiff to open and this causes the mechanism inside the central gearbox (which the handle fits into) to break. I carry a few of these on my van. If you've got more than one broken they will be replaced for £35.00 per sash. |
